Wtyczka WP Ultimate Review dla WordPressa jest podatna na dowolne wykonanie krótkiego kodu we wszystkich wersjach do 2.4.3 włącznie. Dzieje się tak dlatego, że oprogramowanie umożliwia użytkownikom wykonanie akcji, która nie sprawdza prawidłowo wartości przed uruchomieniem do_shortcode. Dzięki temu uwierzytelnieni atakujący z dostępem na poziomie subskrybenta i wyższym mogą wykonać dowolne krótkie kody. Obejście opiera się na własnej funkcji strip_shortcodes() WordPressa, która rozpakowuje ucieczkę w podwójnym nawiasie [[tag]] do gołego [tagu], który przetrwa pamięć wp_insert_post i uruchamia się, gdy typ postu xs_review, który można zapytać publicznie, jest renderowany przez the_content.
