W Linux Mint Xreader do wersji 4.6.5 wykryto wadę. Ten problem dotyczy funkcji setup_document_content_list/g_strdup_printf pliku backend/epub/epub-document.c komponentu EPUB File Handler. Ta manipulacja powoduje przechodzenie ścieżki. Atak jest możliwy do przeprowadzenia zdalnie. Exploit został opublikowany i może zostać wykorzystany. Aktualizacja do wersji 4.6.6 może rozwiązać ten problem. Nazwa poprawki: a5aecea074e8564b7a22f1ce054b31ec862974b7. Zaleca się aktualizację komponentu, którego dotyczy problem. Jeden z opiekunów projektu wyjaśnia, że „obsługa EPUB została usunięta z Xreadera i ponownie zaimplementowana w Xepub”.
