Tłumaczenie automatyczne – może zawierać nieścisłości.
Speex (libspeex) do wersji 1.2.1 zawiera lukę w zabezpieczeniach umożliwiającą zapis poza granicami w funkcji speex_bits_read_whole_bytes() w libspeex/bits.c, która nieprawidłowo obsługuje obcinanie długości w przypadku buforów SpeexBits, które nie są własnością. Atakujący mogą przesyłać strumieniowo spreparowane dane Speex do buforów skonfigurowanych za pomocą funkcji speex_bits_init_buffer() lub speex_bits_set_bit_buffer() w celu uszkodzenia pamięci sterty lub stosu oraz awarii aplikacji.
