Rdzeń OPNsense do wersji 26.7.8 zawiera lukę w zabezpieczeniach polegającą na wstrzykiwaniu konfiguracji, która umożliwia uwierzytelnionym użytkownikom dołączanie dyrektyw ntpd.conf poprzez osadzanie znaków nowej linii w polach fudge i refid. Atakujący posiadający uprawnienia page-services-ntp-gps lub PPS mogą przesłać znaki CR/LF za pośrednictwem Services_ntpd_gps.php lub Services_ntpd_pps.php w celu wstrzyknięcia dyrektyw załadowanych przez ntpd działający jako root.
