Tłumaczenie automatyczne – może zawierać nieścisłości.
L-SMASH do wersji 2.14.5 zawiera lukę w zabezpieczeniach umożliwiającą zapis poza granicami sterty w funkcjach isom_read_hdlr() i isom_read_dref_entry() w core/read.c, wywoływaną przez zbyt duże rozmiary pudełek. Atakujący mogą dostarczać spreparowane pliki MP4 lub MOV, deklarując, że rozmiary skrzynek hdlr lub url są większe niż pozostałe dane, co powoduje wstrzymywanie pozycji strumienia i uszkadzanie pamięci sterty, co powoduje awarię aplikacji.
