W wersjach Splunk SOAR poniżej 8.7.0 użytkownik posiadający rolę „Obserwator” może używać filtrów zapytań w interfejsie API REST (Representational State Transfer), aby wywnioskować skróty haseł i tokeny autoryzacji dla innych użytkowników.
Ujawnienie informacji jest możliwe, ponieważ Splunk SOAR stosuje filtry zapytań REST API do rekordów użytkowników, zanim zabezpieczy wrażliwe pola przed przetwarzaniem zapytań.
