IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1 i 12.2 jest podatny na przepełnienie bufora w dekoderze pakietów TDS (Microsoft SQL Server) PRELOGIN. Osoba atakująca zdalnie, która może wysłać specjalnie spreparowany pakiet TDS PRELOGIN do sieci monitorowanej przez moduł IBM Guardium Collector, może spowodować odmowę usługi lub potencjalnie wykonać dowolny kod na urządzeniu Collector.
