Postęp Wersje MarkLogic Server 12.x wcześniejsze niż 12.1.0 i 11.x wcześniejsze niż 11.3.7 zawierają uprzywilejowane starsze moduły InfoStudio, które w niewystarczającym stopniu weryfikują kontrolowane przez użytkownika ścieżki plików i wartości kontekstu użytkownika. Eksploatacja może skutkować nieautoryzowanym dostępem do plików serwera lub wykonaniem pod niezamierzoną tożsamością.
