Jupyter Server to backend dla aplikacji internetowych Jupyter. Przed wersją 2.21.0 ścieżka rejestrowania żądań 5xx w jupyter_server/log.py kopiuje nagłówek Referer do bloku nagłówka JSON bez stosowania czyszczenia tokena używanego dla identyfikatora URI żądania. Żądanie, które zwraca HTTP 500, gdy strona odsyłająca zawiera adres URL zawierający token, może zatem zapisać ten token w dziennikach serwera w postaci zwykłego tekstu. Osoba atakująca, która może odczytać te dzienniki, może odzyskać token i użyć uprawnień użytkownika Jupyter Server, którego dotyczy problem. Ten problem został rozwiązany w wersji 2.21.0.
